Mary Carolyn Waldrep

The miller's daughter

An Irish painter I think is interesting, because she lived in a time where women where gaining terrain on the artistic ambit. She used to made illustrations for children's books. You can see a image with a delicate feminist touch, when you first notice the pair you realise it was made by a woman, full of grace and details, man would not be able to picture that's what I feel when I analyze the canvas. The color scale, vivid and warm making a equilibrium with cold colors. Art made up by a woman is as well as interesting as the one made by a man, people back then on last century use to think that women could not be as good as man, because people where use to man-produced art, looking something new against the pre-establish causes confusion and people reject things without even take the time to appreciate them.
