EXQUISITE CORPSE --THE DEAD MERMAID by: Scarlett Garcia & Andrea Torres

What Scarlett had in mind while creating her section:

"I expect Andrea to make something really strange, because she is very creative. This is the reason I did a skeleton and not a simple body, so it would look somehow alike. I really am clueless about what she draws, and at the same time very curious to see how it turns out."

What Andrea had in mind while creating her section:

"I didn´t knew what Scarlett would draw, but somehow I thought she will draw an animal body, so this is why first I did a human head and mermaid legs, so that the final image will look strange and fun. One thing i wanted to do was to draw a very long and pretty hair in the face, but if i did that, then Scarlett will know i was drawing a human girl, this is why i just draw a normal short hair."

After watching the finished image:

Scarlett: "I really loved how it ended; it is a really interesting drawing. It can be interpreted in many different ways it looks like a fish with the feet of a clown. If this was the illustration of a story it would be a very interesting one. The colors also look great together.

Andrea: "When I finally saw the finished image I found it really cool, it looks like a mermaid with human feet and a skeletal torso, so I its a very unusual thing. The different segments are so different from one another that the final image is something unreal and you can say "surrealist" and that is the special and unique feature of this activity. This image makes me think of the little mermaid, when se desires to be part of the human world and finally Ursula helps her to be  human but it almost cost Ariel's life, that is where the skeleton fits in.
