The Debutante Part 7: Fernando Dávila, Alejandro Partido

The Debutante Part 7

The surrealist techniques that Carrington uses in this part of the story are:

Violence, Wild Animals, and Dreams.

Violence- The hyena eats every part of the maid leaving just the feet and the face.

Wild Animals- The hyena is a wild animal, and it appears in this part of the story.

Dreams- Carrington imagines the death of the maid eaten by the hyena.

The literary techniques that she used in this part of the story are:

Speaking Animals, Illogical Events, Lack of moral.

Speaking Animals- The hyena talks and says that she can't eat anymore.

Illogical Events- A talking hyena, and the maid being murdered by the hyena.

Lack of Moral- Carrington prefers to kill the maid so the hyena dresses up as her, rather than attending the ball.
